From a long career as a creative professional with DreamWorks, Electronic Arts, SONY and more, Luke believes every design decision builds customer trust. He's passionate about applying that expertise to physics education alongside his brother, Matt.

Founder of Sauté Creative Brand Partners, Sarah approaches everything with the question, "What would it really take…?" A mother of three, she taught Music Technology in London for 20 years and runs an after-school nonprofit teaching Java programming.

Andrew's philosophy is to give students the right amount of digestible information at the right time, building rich, layered, deep comprehension. He's been on both sides of the equation as an SDSU grad student and educator.

Gina earned her bachelor's from Stanford and her MBA from San Diego State. She was a senior sales manager at Xerox for two decades before joining UP. She loves to garden and teach foreign language, and lives with her husband in Encinitas, California.

Kate is an environmental studies student at Utah State University. In her free time she enjoys climbing, cross-country skiing, and reading, and she's thrilled to help students master these challenging subjects.

Sydney holds a biochemistry degree from San Diego State University and is originally from Kansas. She's involved in inorganic chemistry research, led the College of Sciences Student Success Center, and enjoys working out and crocheting.

Kyle is a Mechanical Engineering major with a minor in Energy Studies. Originally from El Dorado Hills, CA, he enrolled at SDSU to pursue his dream of designing and developing renewable energy technology.

Jenna studies chemical physics at San Diego State University and hopes to run her own research one day. A San Diego local, she tutors math and science and enjoys taking her dogs to the beach.

Vincent is a Mechanical Engineering major at SDSU, a first-generation American and first-generation college student. His hobbies include outdoor pursuits like hiking and rock climbing.

Marissa is a Physics major at SDSU hoping to pursue a career in astrophysics. Her dream is to work for NASA and promote more women in physics. Outside school she enjoys baking and reading.

Born in San Diego and raised in Imperial Beach, CA, Christian is a Physics undergraduate at SDSU. He plans to pursue a PhD in physics right after finishing his undergraduate studies.

Jhovanna is passionate about communicating ideas in creative, tangible ways and believes the arts belong in STEM — making it STEAM. She's pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in Dance.

Zackary studies Electrical Engineering and Japanese at SDSU. He planned to study abroad in Japan and to pursue a master's in Electrical Engineering there.

Derek graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Physics and a minor in Ancient Greek, and now lives in Montana. He works as a software developer and enjoys board and miniature gaming.

Eva is a Cognitive Science major at UC Davis, intending to pursue neuroscience research and a career in academia — following in her dad's footsteps. In her free time she teaches dance, bakes, and plays piano.

Pablo is a Design & Production major at Carnegie Mellon's School of Drama. He plans to pursue theatrical stage design, and he's happy to bring his video and audio editing skills to the UP team.

Lainie is a Journalism major at Point Loma Nazarene University who hopes to become a writer sharing important truths and stories. She was glad to help with captioning — and loved learning more physics along the way.

Amber studies Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University. From San Jose, she's interested in combining mechanical and electrical engineering toward a career in robotics, and enjoys promoting animal and environmental welfare.

Bridget is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and manager from Orlando, FL, working toward her BFA in Design & Production at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and exploring new mediums of expression.
